ARE TATTOOS SAFE?

I am certified in Blood Pathogen Training yearly and have done extensive training in tattoo safety and cleaning procedures. All materials used are thoroughly wrapped or disposable.

DO TATTOOs HURT?

The pain level varies greatly on the person, the placement on the body, and many other factors. The best comparison would be to getting a cat scratch but because pain is so subjective I cannot guarantee how much or little something would hurt.

How will my tattoo last?

Tattoos should be mostly permanent but the ink can fade away with time in areas that are often exposed to the sun or if not properly cared for. Areas where the skin is very thin and meets a lot of friction, like your hands, face and lip will fade very quickly and are generally not recommended. Colored ink as well as fine line tattoos also have a higher chance of not lasting as long. Fine line also has a higher chance of fading over thicker lines.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO GET A TATTOO?

You can get a tattoo any time of the year however your skin gets a lot more exposure during the summer with swimming, tanning, etc. Wintertime is the best season to get a tattoo!

WHAT SHOULD I CONSIDER WHEN DESIGNING MY TATTOO?

  1. What dimensions/sizes you would like?

  2. What is the placement for your tattoo on your body?

  3. Is the size appropriate for the body part?

  4. Do you want your tattoo to be colored or black?

  5. Will this be a standalone design, or will it be incorporated with others in the future?

HOW MUCH DOES A TATTOO COST?

My minimum is $120. The price will vary based on how complicated your tattoo design is, color, size, and placement. I usually charge around $220 per hour for large pieces and by size for smaller pieces. I also have a daily limit of 1200. Always happy to work with any budgets as well!!

SHOULD I TIP MY ARTIST?

Tipping is greatly appreciated and always remembered! Cash tips are preferred! :)

WHY is A DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED?

An $100 dollar deposit (that goes towards your tattoo) is required to book your appointment. Hours of designing and drawing are usually required before the appointment. It also ensures that no-shows do not happen and rescheduling happens way in advance. Last minute cancellations and rescheduling affects many tattoo artist’s livelihoods!

Please reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment! A week in advanced is preferred. Any last minute cancellations or rescheduling will require another non-refundable deposit to move forward with the appointment!

WHAT should i prepare before getting my tattoo?

  • Rest well, stay hydrated, and please eat something!

  • Make sure the area being tattooed is clean

  • Try to wear darker and loose clothing that is easily accessible especially around the area you are getting tattooed. (You may get ink on your clothing!)

  • Try to bring cash the day of appointment!

  • Bring your ID!

  • Feel free to bring any books, blankets, headphones to keep you occupied and comfortable while you are getting tattooed.

  • If your tattoo is large and time consuming please bring snacks!

Can I bring any guests?

You can bring guests with you but no more than two please!

do we use new needles?

I always use new needle cartridges on every new client. Everything used is wrapped or disposable and our cleaning procedures are very extensive and thorough!

Do i need to be 18+?

Yes you do. I will not tattoo you if you are under 18. Please just wait a couple more years to get your tattoo if you are underage!

Can i use my phone during the tattoo?

Of course you can! You can bring or use anything as long as you do not move during the appointment or cause a disturbance. I would like you to be as comfortable as possible while you are getting the tattoo!

Do you use numbing cream?

I have numbing spray that I can use during the tattoo process but it only works when the skin is broken. I also have numbing cream but do not recommend using it as your first time.

(The only thing I would caution about numbing yourself beforehand is that if it starts to wear off, all the pain will come at once so I would not recommend this with bigger pieces.)
